New Line of Ashaway Racquetball Shoes to Bear Huczek Signature
Ashaway, RI — A new line of racquetball shoes from Ashaway will bear the signature of world champion Jack Huczek, it was announced today. The new Ashaway line of AMPS™ (Anatomic Multi-Performance System) footwear is anatomically molded to the natural shape of the human foot. AMPS athletic footwear supports the whole foot, not just the ball and heel, thus increasing comfort and stability, and reducing foot fatigue.
“The new Ashaway AMPS line is an evolutionary design,” said Huczek, who has been wearing Ashaway footwear for some time and was actively involved in the design of the new line. “As soon as I put them on I knew they were for me. And after I played with them, I was totally convinced they are the right shoe for my aggressive style of play.”
Ashaway AMPS 311M shoes are designed for serious and recreational racquetball, squash and tennis players who want a dynamic look, ultra comfort, and enhanced performance. Built for speed and traction, the AMPS design incorporates wet-grip rubber outsoles which provide high durability and incredible grip, even on wet surfaces.
A high quality synthetic and mesh upper provides lightweight comfort and breathability, while the high quality PVC heel counter provides increased strength for maximum ankle support. But the key to the new Ashaway AMPS Series whole foot support system is the combination of the anatomic mid-sole high rebound insert, the ASD (Anatomic Stability Device) inserted into the heel of the shoe, the specially designed dual layer inboard and triple layer removable insole. The dual layer inboard is engineered to provide added strength and cushioning. The high shape retention EVA insole incorporates AMPS Zz cushion inserts to enhance forefoot rebound and provide additional heel support. The insoles are also 25% lighter than normal EVA for increased speed and comfort.
“We have been working on the AMPS design with our partners for some time,” said Ashaway Vice President, Steve Crandall. “We’re very excited and believe we have come up with an optimal balance of comfort, support and lightweight performance.” Ashaway’s new AMPS athletic footwear is available worldwide.
