Tennis Life Magazine and Intercollegiate Tennis Association Partners in 2008!
TAMPA, FL — Tennis Life Magazine with the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) has signed a multi-year agreement to be the official magazine of the ITA. Beginning with the January 2008 issue of Tennis Life Magazine, TLM will publish editorial in every issue on college tennis giving collegiate tennis the attention it deserves.
Through TLM’s new partnership with the ITA, the magazine will now reach all ITA-member tennis coaches across America. Long recognized as one of the best organized collegiate sports associations, the ITA serves as the governing body of collegiate tennis in the United States. Administering a comprehensive calendar of tournaments and events and a far-reaching awards program, the goal of the ITA is to improve the level of intercollegiate tennis competition and the quality of college tennis coaching, while emphasizing sportsmanship and the value of higher education. Comprised of nearly 1,500 men’s and women’s coaches representing over 1,200 institutions across the country from all three NCAA Divisions, as well as the NAIA and Junior and Community Colleges, the ITA oversees activities involving over 25,000 college varsity student-athletes.
“We are very pleased to begin this new and exciting partnership with Tennis Life Magazine,” said David A Benjamin, ITA Executive Director. “Tennis Life offers us a great opportunity to increase exposure of college tennis on a national level, as well as offer our member coaches a valuable resource to increase their knowledge about the game of tennis. We look forward to a beneficial partnership with TLM, as we work together to publicize college tennis on a national level.”
“Tennis Life’s growth is a great indication of the increased desire for tennis players and enthusiasts to receive a new and different publication in the sport of tennis,” said publisher Todd Goldman. “With this new partnership, Tennis Life continues its place as the second largest NATIONAL tennis publication—bar none—and continues to be the fastest growing international tennis magazine in the sport. And we are not done growing yet. As well, we feel that reaching the type of individual as the tennis coach offers our advertisers the ability to reach a segment of the tennis population that are significant consumers of tennis products and proponents of the game,” added Goldman.
Founded in 1994, Tennis Life Magazine is also the official publication of the USTA/Texas Section, the USTA/Northern Section and the Nevada Tennis Association, and has a growing base of subscribers nationwide. It is also one of only two tennis magazines found on newsstands and in bookstores throughout North America. Tennis Life Magazine also publishes Tennis Life en Espaňol and as of January 2008 will be publishing Tennis Life UK.
All national and regional sales and editorial will be handled by Tennis Life staff in the Tampa offices.
The sales and editorial offices of Tennis Life Magazine are located at 4125 Gunn Hwy., Suite B1, Tampa, FL 33618. For more information, please call 813-264-2772 ext. 222 or email: todd@tennislife.com.
