College Tennis Exposure Camp December 8-9 At USF
TAMPA, FL — The College Tennis Academy will hold its annual College Tennis Exposure Camp December 8-9 at University of South Florida in Tampa. The camp is open to high school and USTA tournament players, ages 15-18, who are interested in playing college tennis.
Head men’s and women’s tennis coaches from the following colleges will provide on-court instruction and training at the camp: University of Alabama, Auburn University, Boston College, Bloomsburg University, University of Central Florida, Fairleigh Dickinson University, Florida Gulf Coast University, Florida Institute of Technology, University of Illinois, Lehigh University, Middlebury College, Penn State University, Quinnipiac University, University of Richmond, University of South Florida, Stony Brook University, University of Tampa, Troy University, United States Military Academy, and Wake Forest University.
The College Tennis Exposure Camp is the nation’s only camp taught exclusively by head college tennis coaches. Directed by former Harvard Coach Ed Krass, each training day will include a morning session, where players will work with six different college coaches, sampling college practices and coaching styles. The afternoon sessions feature singles and doubles matchplay with collegiate-style, on-court coaching. In addition to the training program, a daily seminar and an evening roundtable discussion with college coaches will educate players about the college recruiting process, profile various college programs and teach players how to maximize their college recruiting efforts.
“This camp is an excellent opportunity for players to showcase their skills and receive specific feedback from college coaches representing every level of the game,” said Coach Ed Krass.
