The US Open 2007 tennis matches are underway at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows, N.Y. Over the next two weeks, the world’s top tennis players will compete for the US Open titles. An expected 700,000 people are expected to tune into the action to see who will come out victorious in men’s and women’s singles, men’s and women’s doubles, and mixed doubles play.
World number one Justin Henin has dominated the women’s tour with six titles including her fourth French Open win and third in a row at Roland Garros. Henin won the US Open back in 2003 and lost to Russia’s Maria Sharapova in last year’s final. Other crowd favorites include the Williams sisters who snagged the other two grand slam tournaments in 07. In all, the overall talent is fierce in women’s play, so it is pretty much an open court, with that being said, who do you think will be crowned the 2007 US Open Women’s Singles Champion?
