DecoTurf Chosen for United States vs. Russia Fed Cup Semifinal
Andover, MA — DecoTurf, the most recognized tennis surface in the world, announced that their 100% acrylic tennis surface DecoColor, has been selected for the 2007 Fed Cup semifinal to be held on July 14-15, at the Stadium at Topnotch in Stowe, Vermont.
The USTA has chosen DecoColor US Open Blue™ for the inbounds playing area, and DecoColor US Open Green™ for the out-of-bounds tennis surface, the same colors used at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center, site of the US Open. These vivid colors vastly improve visibility for players, umpires and fans. John Graham, Managing Director, DecoTurf points out that the use of color on courts creates a seamless visual experience and makes it easier for both on-site spectators and television viewers to see the ball and enjoy the matches.
Serena and Venus Williams will lead the U.S. team that will host Russia before a sold out capacity crowd of 4,100 in the Green Mountains of Vermont.
DecoTurf’s multi-layer tennis surfaces have been selected for use at the world’s most prestigious events including the US Open since 1978, the 2004 and 2008 Olympic Games, Davis Cup and Fed Cup matches, and at many of the finest facilities around the world.
