James Blake Chooses Dunlop's Aerogel 2Hundred Racquet
WIMBLEDON — American tennis star James Blake announced today that he has chosen to play the Dunlop Aerogel 2HUNDRED racquet – picked from the widely acclaimed line of Aerogel racquets introduced earlier this year.
“The Aerogel 2HUNDRED is perfect for my game,” said Blake. “I’ve always played my best with Dunlop racquets, but am especially pleased with the way the new Aerogel plays. With its precise touch and great power the 2HUNDRED fits my game exactly.”
To mark Blake’s recent return to the Dunlop Tennis Tour Team — the most accomplished in tennis, with four players among the ATP’s top eleven — Dunlop Sports Group Americas has held a sweepstakes asking: “Which Dunlop Aerogel racquet will James Blake choose to play?”
This week, Dunlop will hold a draw to choose one lucky winner from among the thousands who have entered the sweepstakes. One of the contestants who has correctly guessed that Blake will play with the Dunlop Aerogel 2HUNDRED will fly with a friend to New York City for a 3-day, 2-night stay and will attend the U.S. Open.
That draw will occur at Dunlop Sports Group Americas headquarters in Greenville, SC, and will be conducted by longtime Greenville mayor Knox White.
“As a top ten player, James is among the few who define the game today,” said Kai Nitsche Dunlop’s General Manager of Racquet Sports. “Playing with Dunlop’s Aerogel shows how design and technology can help bring an edge. The contest has been a fun way of bringing attention to that.”
The Dunlop Tennis Tour Team now boasts four male players in the ATP top 11 — Tommy Robredo (7th) James Blake (9th), Tommy Haas (10th), and Tomas Berdych (11th) — all of them playing with the extraordinary technology of the Dunlop Aerogel racquet.
