Penn and Chrysler Offer Chance to Win a Free 2008 Sebring Convertible in Packs of Tennis Balls

PHOENIX –– For a limited time this summer, specially marked 4-packs of Penn Championship and Pro Penn tennis balls will include a chance to win a FREE 2008 Chrysler Sebring Convertible or other HEAD/Penn prizes. Also included in the pack is a digital carabiner sport watch. Once again, Penn offers consumers more than just tennis balls, further differentiating America’s #1 selling ball from other products on the shelf.
Chrysler and Penn partnered up through their mutual sponsorship of USTA’s League Tennis program – the largest grassroots organization in the country with over 600,000 tennis players. Chrysler is the presenting sponsor of the program while Penn serves as the official ball.
“By offering the instant gratification of the watch as well as a chance to win a 2008 Chrysler Sebring Convertible, we are able to provide our retail partners and consumers with an incredible value in these special packs of tennis balls,” said Jennifer Parker, Business Manager for Penn Tennis Balls. “Chrysler and the USTA are excellent partners and we are proud to be associated with both parties as they provide an outstanding product and service to the tennis community.”
“The 2008 Chrysler Sebring Convertible – which is America’s favorite convertible – is the perfect complement to tennis, which is one of America’s favorite outdoor sports,” said David Rooney, Director – Chrysler Marketing and Global Communications. “Chrysler is delighted to be paired with the USTA and Penn to make this opportunity available to tennis fans around the country.”
Special pack graphics and insert cards alert consumers to the promotion. The “prize decoder” drives consumers to a web site where they can see if they have won the Chrysler Sebring Convertible or other HEAD/Penn tennis products. Product will be available beginning early June at major sporting goods retailers and pro/specialty shops nationwide.
