Wrap it backwards

It seems that I often get caught on court with a student who needs my help replacing her overgrip, but neither the grip tape nor the grip band are anywhere to be found. Rather than go back out to the car to get my scissors and tape, I wrap the new overgrip from the “wrong” end. That way, I can use the end that has the sticky part on it to attach the loose end to the racquet. I’ve never had one come loose, and at the end of the lesson I usually have time to go get the tape and finish the job properly.
