Tying off natural gut

I use a dead man’s knot whenever the anchor string is natural gut. The version I use is a double half hitch tied around a separate string and the anchor string. I’ve taken a page from the racquet manufacturers, which strive to make technologies “visible,” by using a colored string (such as orange) to make it more visible. So far, each of my natural gut customers has noticed and has been appreciative of my attention to detail. Make your “extras” visible enough for your customers to notice, and you’ll be surprised at how much it adds to your credibility and prestige.
