Easy string measuring

Many of my customers have more than one frame of the same type, and I have them pretty well trained to rotate the amount of playing time they put on each frame, so they can bring me all of their racquets to string at the same time once the strings break in any one of their racquets.

After I string the first of two or more racquets, I take the excess string that I’ve cut off of the long end (before tying off), and cut that much off the next set of string before I even start the next racquet. This way, I know that I have the correct length of string, there is less wear-and-tear from weaving “extra” string on the crosses, and I spend less time on subsequent racquets.
